Regional Director, Sales - Western U.S., Wind Turbine Manufacturer Area: Western U.S. (Portland, Seattle, or Denver) Position/Responsibilities: Wind turbine manufacturer seeks experienced Wind-Turbine Salesperson to manage West Coast U.S. geographic regional territories. Responsibilities: • Directly responsible for North American wind turbine sales-generation activities meeting targeted goals for assigned regional market segment. • Creation of negotiation strategies and either lead or co-lead negotiations with Customers for turbine supply agreements for Turbine Supply/Installation, O&M, Warranty, and Service. • Serve as the Customer primary point-of-contact for receipt and development of quotes related to assigned market segment sales (customer account management) • Manage in a professional and efficient manner all Customer communications throughout the Sales Process; to include both internal and external reporting and the data analysis associated with such performance tracking. • Work with Marketing Team to develop marketing material and PR campaigns. Represent the company at Industry trade shows, conferences and customer meetings. • Travel to project sites and customer meetings (at least 50% travel) Requirements: • Bachelors Degree; Engineering or related discipline preferred. MBA or Graduate degree in appropriate Engineering discipline a plus • 4 – 7+ years experience in capital equipment or construction sales • At least 3 years concentration in wind turbine sales an absolute must • Excellent communication skills, organizational-ability and pro-active leadership • In-depth knowledge and usage of negotiation skills • Ability to effectively interact with Customer’s executive, development, and construction management • Ability to perform some technical, economic feasibility analysis, and financial modeling preferred • Must possess a working understanding of contract administration, cost accounting, budgeting and compliance. • Demonstrated ability to develop a customer segment and market region • Demonstrated negotiation and closing skills in sales transactions • Working knowledge of marketing, planning and the electrical generation business. • Excellent written, verbal, analytical and presentation skills. • Well-developed customer relations and problem solving skills. • Ability to perform under high pressure and changing work environment. • Ability to work effectively in a team environment. • Displays high standards of ethical conduct. Exhibits honesty and integrity. • Strong ability to use Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint. • Demonstrated success in the negotiation and closing of large capital projects contracts. • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets.
