The Company: Our client manufactures High Gain Solar (HGS) arrays which incorporate industry-proven silicon cells, durable reflector materials and single-axis tracking into a complete, easy-to-deploy system. Their HGS delivers ten times more energy per gram of silicon than traditional flat panel systems in sunny locations. The company was founded in 2007 and its primary investor is a tier 1 venture fund. The company also received funding from the US Department of Energy (DOE) to accelerate production. The technology’s architecture was created with financial performance, reduced technological risk and scalability as its core goals. The company is partnering with project financiers and developers of solar power systems as well as companies doing engineering, procurement and construction. This is a ground mounted solar array, seeking access into municipal and utility markets. Reporting: Supervisor, Chairman Direct Reports: Current Contract Sales Consultants Other Interactions: Field Operations, Product Management, Production, Executives, Customers, Board, Investors, Strategic Partners and Vendors Requirements Experience: · Must have experience selling solar, energy or demand management products or services to the commercial and industrial markets. Please do not apply if you have not sold solar products. · Must have 5+ years of proven success in sales and sales management. · Undergraduate degree mandatory, advanced degree desirable. · Experience crafting, presenting and implementing successful sales plans. · Strong understanding of financial modeling concepts, especially with regard to power project development. Position Accountabilities: · Develop a winning sales methodology and direct the sales effort into predetermined and emerging market segments. o Participate in developing company business strategy and lead implementation and execution of strategy. o Implement innovative sales strategies and processes that drive higher levels of growth. · Build, nurture and manage strategic relationships with strategic partners and channels to market. · Develop and perfect the RFP process. · Recruit, train and develop a successful sales organization.
