Renewable Choice Energy, a nationally-recognized industry leader in clean technology products and services located in Boulder, Colorado, seeks a full-time Energy Auditor fluent in Spoken Chinese to staff our newly established and growing Professional Services department. This department is responsible for consulting with our commercial customers to support them in measuring, managing, and reducing their impact in the areas of energy efficiency, material efficiencies, natural resources, and corporate social responsibility.

The Energy Auditor will conduct comprehensive commercial/light industrial energy measurement and analysis for supply chain manufacturers in China and will make recommendations for promoting the overall efficient use of energy. The Auditor will conduct data collection involving customer electrical and mechanical systems, calculate energy usage analysis, and prepare professional written and customized energy audit reports containing prioritized recommended scope of work for energy efficiency improvements.

This position works independently and with limited supervision and is responsible for identifying problems and possible solutions. Applicants must possess and apply a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures while demonstrating good organizational skills and the ability to manage projects from initiation to conclusion.

Qualified applicants MUST be fluent in a dialect of Spoken Chinese, preferably Cantonese. Additionally, applicants will have 5-7 years in a related field along with a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical or scientific discipline. Ideal candidates will be smart, assertive, and diplomatic. Applicants will demonstrate the following competencies:
• Designation as a Certified Energy Manager and/or Certified Energy Auditor.
• Strong understanding of building science, including lighting technologies, building envelope, mechanical systems, and combustion science with field expertise in auditing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as a thorough knowledge of energy efficiency and process engineering.
• Success in establishing and maintaining productive relationships within customer supply chains in the US and abroad.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface with a variety of internal and external customers at all organizational levels.
• Aptitude for intelligence gathering, research, analysis, problem-solving, process modeling, systems development and integration, and client development.
• Ability to nimbly respond to multiple demands and interruptions within a rapidly changing and progressive business environment.
• Intermediate to advanced experience in MS Office applications, expressly Excel; familiarity with Salesforce.com desirable.
• Interest in and demonstrated personal commitment to sustainability.

Position may travel to China up to 50% time and may work odd hours in order to facilitate communication with stakeholders in China.
