Responsibilities include setting the strategy and driving performance on all aspects of SunPower’s BOS, Modules and MRO Commodity Spend. This would include sourcing strategy and negotiations for all these commodities. As the VP/Director Global Commodity Management, you and your team will be responsible for locating, introducing and maintaining Strategic Suppliers. Creating strong relationships will be a key role for this position. Direct Senior Management contact will be required (internal and external).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

•Identify and drive overall strategy for all BOS, Module and MRO materials required by SunPower
•Drive continuous improvement on key supply chain metrics- cost, terms and conditions, inventory velocity and demand pull/supplier managed inventory
•Train and develop employees on the Global Commodity Management team.
•Develop and manage NPI Commodity Management function
•Dotted line responsibility for Supplier Quality Engineering
•Communicate effectively with all management levels. (Internal and external).
•Create, review and understand work processes and purchase specifications.
•Exercise business acumen to analyze and manage the financial impact of various alternatives.
•Monitor and report progress. Suggest and implement corrective measures to ensure success in a timely manner.
•Ability to work independently, prioritize work and make decisions regarding formatting of work. Work closely with senior management.
•Visit and conduct (formal and informal) audits of Strategic Suppliers. Optimize the audit process. Train and educate in the SunPower business process.

•Implement STARS, Supplier Scorecard Process with corresponding share awards for Strategic Suppliers.

Education and Experience

•BA/BS degree in Procurement/logistics, materials, business or related discipline. MBA,MS/MA desired.
•10 to 15 years Global Commodity Management
•Experience managing solar commodities is a plus.
•Ability to work independently at all levels.
•Detail orientated. Demonstrate associative logic skills.
•System/Computer Experience required. MS Office/Word/PowerPt/Excel.
•Oracle experience a plus.

Qualifications

•10+ years experience as a Supply Chain/Materials professional with management experience
•Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication.
•Proven, results oriented track record. Delivers on commitments
•Ability to work independently, prioritize work and make decisions regarding formatting of work.
•Be a leader.
•High demand for presentations.
