Energy Management Solutions The Energy Management Team provides energy efficiency, demand response and energy management solutions to our industrial and commercial clients. Our team has an immediate need for an Energy Management Engineer. This position is not location specific; however, travel will be required. In this newly created role, you will experience all the benefits of working for a fast-paced, entrepreneurial company while having a significant impact in energy management, demand response and energy efficiency. Role Description As our Energy Management Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering energy efficiency, demand response and energy management solutions to our commercial and industrial clients. You will utilize your strong technical knowledge of commercial and industrial building energy management, control systems, and building energy analysis software to serve as our key subject matter expert throughout various phases of the sales process. Working collaboratively with others in the organization, you will support business development efforts with both utility and private sector prospects. You will use your business knowledge and technical expertise to showcase our commitment to providing innovative energy efficient solutions to our clients. As our key technical talent, you will become a trusted energy management advisor supporting energy-efficient building solutions. Additionally, you will assist in the development and delivery of presentations and proposals containing detailed information on pricing and cost-effectiveness. Your experience working in a collaborative environment will be valuable in building and strengthening your relationships with our multiple utility client engagements, auditors and in-house team. By leveraging your consultative approach to the sales process in tackling unique challenges, you will demonstrate high value to prospective clients as you work with our sales team on. In addition, your participation and understanding of the audit process, along with your ability to collect and interpret data, will further enhance the reputation Ecos has for delivering innovative energy management solutions to our clients. Your background in energy efficiency audits and field support, paired with a proven commitment to understanding and servicing customers to match the goals of the organization, will be pivotal to the success of the team. Role Competencies As our ideal candidate, you will possess a Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science; industrial, mechanical or electrical engineering. You will also possess seven years of hands-on experience with energy modeling of new construction and existing building renovation including commissioning/retro-commissioning, operating and/or building mechanical systems and controls. Experience managing and performing energy audits of existing commercial or industrial buildings and facilities, with exposure to system installation, troubleshooting, commissioning, and/or controls is required. Experience in mechanical design and field review for buildings and knowledge of building and energy codes as well as energy and commissioning standards is required. A Professional Engineer (PE) designation with existing building commissioning experience is required. Experience and/or knowledge of building and energy codes, as well as, energy and commissioning standards is required. A Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification, and/or LEED AP certification are preferred but not required. You will possess extensive working knowledge of building automation and mechanical systems and experience managing and performing energy audits for existing buildings perform site inspections, functional testing, and trend data analysis. This role requires high intellectual capabilities, exceptional communication skills and solid business judgment. This role will also require the ability to work collaboratively and consultatively with others and will have an ability to develop and deliver compelling presentations.
