SUMMARY This mid/senior level position is responsible for delivering contract obligations that fall within the Conservation Program Services organization. These services are designed to help clients to establish and reach energy goals through execution of demand-side initiatives. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES The Energy Manager II is responsible for independent execution of initiatives designed to help clients meet their energy reduction goals. Specific activities include but are not limited to: Lead in implementing client energy awareness programs Analyze client utility data and present contracted deliverables including the tracking of performance metrics, identification of anomalies, determination of site load factors and savings potential via time-differentiated rate schedules Identify cost reductions opportunities through procuring energy in deregulated markets, switching to alternative rate schedules and other techniques Interface with the Client Relations executives Develop and interpret performance metrics Performance of financial analysis for potential projects Scope custom and ad-hoc reporting to drive energy savings Manage utility and energy efficiency rebate procurement Develop cost savings strategies through client discussions Other activities that an Energy Manager II may be asked to perform: Determine clients’ need for additional Consulting Services Manage external vendors, such as site auditors Participate in client presentations Travel to client sites for presentations, meetings, etc. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Three to five years of direct experience in energy management or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job Demonstrated knowledge of building systems (HVAC, lighting) and energy management Advanced knowledge of MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint Ability to understand and evaluate electric, gas and water rates 4-year degree in business or engineering Professional designation of Certified Energy Manager preferred (CEM).
