Our Client is seeking a VP of Construction to lead their construction management team located in Southern California. The selected candidate must have a demonstrated knowledge of Leadership within Power / Energy / Renewables construction Industry that has experience building new operations and working with new designs.

Candidates with backgrounds of Biofuels Plant Construction, Utility scale Solar experience or cutting edge power plant construction will be strongly considered.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate shall have a minimum of 15 - 20 years experience working on large engineering / power / energy construction projects. The selected candidate must be detail oriented, and also have strong organizational, communication and writing skills. Candidates must have experience as the ultimate oversight authority for multiple concurrent EPC projects.

It is required that candidates have experience with all facets of construction work necessary to fulfill the contracts. This includes: construction cost analysis and other financial data relative to assigned contracts, maintaining project construction cost control to ensure project profitability. Experience in preparing project construction status reports, field documentation including supporting subcontracts, material contracts and progress estimates, bonding and insurance and assisting with proposal development as it relates to construction activities.

B.S. in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline is required. (BSME, BSEE or BSCE degree) Advanced business education and Professional Engineering license is a plus.

Ideal candidate will have experience as a senior construction project manager for a well run EPC firm.
Candidates also must have substantial credibility in the industry with the demonstrated ability to lead a high cost / high value construction program.
