Summary: BCS, Incorporated has two openings for Research Associate/Analyst. Position will provide direct communications and analytical support to senior level U.S. Department of Energy, Energy Efficiency Renewable Energy client responsible for renewable energy research and development. Candidates must have strong data research and analysis skills, and excellent writing and presentation skills. Candidate must be detail oriented, organized, and capable of providing quick turn around, accurate responses in hectic environment. Position Description: BCS is a small business providing dynamic business, analytical, and communications solutions to decision makers in the clean energy, health and national security fields. The Associate/Analyst will be responsible for performing quick turnaround research and analysis related to renewable energy markets and policy, as well as briefings, document review, legislative and policy support, and communications. Candidate will be required to coordinate technical inputs provided by science programs, collect information on technology and industry trends, evaluate progress on Federal clean energy initiatives, and translate findings into briefs suitable for executive level presentations. The successful candidate must be client-oriented, possess strong interpersonal skills, and be articulate in written and oral communication. The analyst must have strong capabilities in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Specific capabilities include: Strong understanding of renewable energy markets and policy and ability to collect, digest and present related data, Knowledge of renewable energy technology areas Excellent writing and presentation skills Ability to prepare executive level briefings, speeches, talking points, briefing books, and other materials in support of senior government officials, and Ability to meet tight deadlines Ability to work both on a team and individually Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in energy-related field, or economics. Masters degree preferred. Candidates should have 3 - 5 years experience related to renewable energy technologies and markets or support to senior managers in a government or energy industry setting involving the responsibilities described above.
