Job # 2029 Solar Cell & Module MFG Process Engineer Company Overview Xunlight Corporation, a technology spin-off from the University of Toledo, engages in the development, manufacture, and marketing of photovoltaic modules that convert sunlight into electricity. The company develops thin-film silicon based photovoltaic products and manufacturing equipment for high-throughput production of flexible and lightweight photovoltaic modules at low cost. Job Description This position will be responsible for leading a thin film solar cell and module process team to achieve manufacturing goals of high quality, yield throughput and low cost. Job Responsibilities Solar cell and module process improvement Establish baseline manufacturing processes in different stages Module failure mode analysis and problem solving Documentation of all PV cell & module manufacturing processes UL, IEC, and TUV Qualification tests Training program formation for production operators Supervise junior engineers to achieve the manufacturing goals Job Status: Full time Job Requirements: Minimum 5 years professional hands-on experience in solar cell and module manufacturing process Minimum 3 years experience of dealing with ISO, UL, IEC, and TUV certification processes 2 years or more technical supervision experience is required BS degree in engineering and PV manufacturing experience required. Thin film PV experience is preferred.
