In 2007, the firm raised a $400 million fund to make proprietary investments in renewable energy companies and projects, predominantly in North America.

Job Description:
The firm seeks an experienced energy Project Developer/Manager with a proven track record of successfully developing, overseeing, financing and operating energy projects. The Project Developer/Manager will work closely with the management teams of the firm\'s portfolio of energy projects to i) oversee the development process, ii) implement operational and financial best practices to enhance each project’s performance, iii) provide ongoing operational oversight and management of each project, and iv) assist in financing the projects. In addition, the Project Developer/Manager will support the firm’s investment professionals in originating and evaluating potential energy project investments. This position offers a substantial opportunity in the burgeoning renewable energy industry. This position will be based in Washington, DC.

Key Responsibilities:
• Managing a portfolio of renewable energy projects, from development stage to operating assets
• Liaising with various third party project developers to ensure that the firm’s projects are on budget and on schedule
• Assisting, when required, to drive problematic projects forward, offering solutions derived from substantial experience in the field
• Assessing acquisitions of renewable energy projects or the development of greenfield projects to complement the firm’s existing project portfolio
• Providing reports on each project to the firm’s investment committee and Board
• Recruiting and training additional team members as required

Skills Required:
• Senior level project development and/or operating experience in the energy (preferably in renewable energy) sector with a proven track record of success
• Experience in and knowledge of EPC contracts and project financing
• In-depth understanding of and ability to analyze project economics
• High energy and the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and handle multiple assignments effectively
• Strategic, innovative thinking and an ability to navigate and manage complex issues
• Consistent track record of meeting performance objectives
• Strong business leadership and management skills
• Flexibility to travel to project sites

Qualifications and Experience:
• Technical/Engineering degree
• Significant experience in energy project development and management, preferably in the renewable energy sector
• Management leadership experience
