The Regional Construction Manager will focus on managing the company’s regional wind farm construction activities.

Responsibilities:
• Provide technical support for the development team.
• Manage the Balance of Plan Construction for the Wind Farm projects in the Southwest.
• In coordination with the Development Director and Construction Director, lead the creation of a Construction department focused on building the current portfolio of projects in the referred area.

Job Functions:
• Initial Wind Farm Project Design supervision and coordination
• Supervise preliminary wind farm layout based on provided ALTA survey, geotechnical survey, historical and web land delineations.
• Supervise electrical design. Participate on the interconnection process with the local utility.
• Provide Technical advice and oversight including civil and electrical design.
• Prepare and Issue RFP’s for wind farm construction
• Lead the issuance of RFP for BOP construction services. Evaluate available local general contactors. Lead bid evaluation and final negotiations.
• Manage wind farm project construction.
o Perform a variety of tasks to manage Wind Farm construction in the Southwest.
o Coordinate owner and General contractor communications.
o Assure project schedule milestones are achieved.
o Enforce budget tracking and specification compliance.
o Report project progress to company HQ.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (Electrical Engineering concentration preferred)
• Must have at least 5 years of Project Management experience on large scale construction projects
• Must have at least 2 years of design / construction within wind
• Strong knowledge of wind energy economics and market drivers in the U.S.
• Computer literate in MS programs; Excel, MS Project, AutoCad
