Project Engineer - Energy Analyst

Summary
We are seeking a Project Engineer - Energy Analyst for our office. This candidate will focus on analyzing wind resource and other data to develop energy estimates for commercial wind energy projects. Apply today for a chance to interview!

Responsibilities
• Validate and analyze meteorological data.
• Visit project sites and long-term reference locations for evaluations.
• Conduct wind flow modeling studies.
• Estimate wind project output.
• Evaluate energy production, estimate technical losses, and conduct statistical uncertainty analyses.
• Write detailed technical reports of your evaluation and findings.
• Interact with clients.
• Perform other tasks as needed.

Requirements
• Four year college degree in engineering or other technical field. Masters degree preferred.
• Needs attention to detail.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience using WAsP, Windfarm, WindPRO or other similar software preferred.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, Access.
• Experience with SODAR, LIDAR preferred.
• Experienc with wind modeling a plus.
• Experience with MATLAB, Visual Basic programming, and/or Access a plus.
• Proposal writing and consulting background a plus.
• Familiarity with mapping software a plus.
