The Cassillon Group, Inc. is a full service Recruiting Solutions Provider focused on finding talented professionals for the Solar / Green Technology Sector. We are dedicated to helping emerging and established Solar/ Green Tech companies grow. Our mission is to find the people that will power the Green Economy.
One of our clients is a seriesB top-tier venture-backed, Silicon Valley solar energy company developing disruptive, high efficiency, Solar power products for the global energy market. They are currently seeking Sr. PV Process Integration Engineer.

PV PROCESS INTEGRATION ENGINEER:
Primary responsibilities include:
1) Integration of process steps for cell fabrication from S proprietary substrate (TFSS)
2) Feedback of substrate requirements for cell integration to unit process engineers to drive
continuous improvement of cell performance

This position harmonizes the performance of individual unit processes that comprise the device flow for creating the cell and TFSS. Individual will need to work with all unit process engineers & device/test engineers to co-ordinate the goals of each development effort, such that the end goals of working solar cells which meet performance specs, are achieved. Also contribute on testing, failure analysis with focus on manufacturability for cell flow.

REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR TD INTEGRATION

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Working cell: Understand unit processes involved in cell fabrication and assess any risk each process may have on cell performance meeting spec. Interact with TFSS engineer to evaluate the impact of TFSS unit processes and performance on the ultimate cell performance. Coordinate & drive each cell unit process development effort such that there is complete risk mitigation and contingency plans to ensure cell performance to spec with high yield. Assess impact of process flow changes driven by tightened cell performance specs, on the repeatability and yield of cells working to specification. If required propose and implement changes to the cell process flow which would help mitigate the risks associated with such changes.
2) Cell performance with scaling: Assess impact of process flow changes driven by tightened cell performance specs, on the repeatability and yield of cells working to specification. If required propose and implement changes to the cell process flow which would help mitigate the risks associated with such changes.
3) Failure analysis: Build FMEA model of potential failure mechanisms for trouble-shooting nonworking cells as well as parametric failures. In case of cell fails or yield issues, this position will support FA, proposing potential root-cause mechanisms, isolating root-cause, proposing solution-path, testing proposal and implementing solution in flow. Develop a suite of outsourced analysis techniques which will be frequently used for failure analysis.
4) Integration: Work with other template engineers, cell-process engineers and test engineers to ensure that ultimate cell performance is repeatable and to spec.
5) Equipment selection: Provide inputs to decisions for making equipment selections for both process and testing. Work with process and test/device engineers to determine best equipment for the company’s needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Educational qualifications: MS or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Material Science with a strong emphasis on processing, device fabrication/integration and test/characterization is required. Hands-on working experience in a semiconductor, semiconductor equipment or solar cell fabrication line is a definite plus. Candidate needs to have demonstrated independent project planning, execution and innovation in device/process technology, process integration methodologies, design for manufacturing and design for reliability

Experience: 3-5 years experience in a semiconductor/photovoltaic processing line is needed where candidate should have fabricated, tested and done failure analysis and engineering of devices.

References: Minimum of 3 strong references needed from recent and past areas of employment
