The Project Engineer will:
• Work closely with strategic technology suppliers and contractors to ensure that equipment designs meet performance, schedule, installation, serviceability, and life cycle costs requirements.
• Support project specific development activities including cost estimating and proposals, permitting, environmental and electrical interconnection studies for utility-scale solar energy projects.

The successful candidate will be experienced leading and supporting multiple concurrent projects in a dynamic team environment and will have the following requirements:
• Bachelor of Science degree in a related engineering discipline. An advance degree preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Experienced leading technology suppliers and contractors.
• Experience in steam power plant design, permitting and construction (steam turbines, vessels, piping, valves, control systems, equipment and piping supports, electrical equipment and systems), with knowledge of relevant codes and practices.
• Familiar with GateCycle modeling and analysis.
• Experience in developing specifications for engineering, procurement and construction contracts.
• Experienced reviewing and critiquing engineering and architectural drawings.
• Proficient in reviewing and responding to utility RFPs.
• Proficient in use of spreadsheet and project scheduling tools.
• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in electricity generation project engineering.
