We have vast experience with energy and utility conservation projects. Our previous work has included facility audits in more than 650 buildings, receipt of multiple design awards, reduction of utility operating budgets by over 3 million dollars annually and an excess of 6 million dollars in utility grants to our clients.

As the Director of Sustainability you will be responsible for the establishment and profitable growth of our newly established Sustainability Consulting Division. Initial responsibilities will include the creation of a sound strategic business plan and establishment of various processes and procedures enabling McKinstry to provide a continuum of services in sustainable facility operations while furnishing roadmaps to reduce carbon foot printing and conserve resources. Additional responsibilities will include sales, engineering, contract compliance and audits.


If you are a results oriented strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a passion for sustainability, this position is for you! A thorough understanding of sustainability standards and legislation regarding and state and local LEED mandates as well as government sustainability initiatives is required. 10+ years of experience managing technical projects that include sustainable features or outcomes and BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Environmental Science, Business, Engineering or the equivalent is required. LEED AP certification is preferred. This position will require the ability to travel.
