The Training Manager is responsible for managing the activities involved in the design, preparation, delivery and need assessment of technical training and development programs for company customer's and client base. Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities for this position include: Conduct and facilitate training with the ability to publish training tools. Conduct needs assessment to determine training opportunity and training solutions. Deliver training to end users and conduct train-the-trainer classes on SolarWorld products, installation and services. Interact with functional organizations and their content experts to develop specifications for the content of courses. Prepares lesson plans including, course design, method, media, and documentation to be presented; manages enrollment, tracking of participants and continuous improvement of both courses and training methodology. Strong customer focus and the ability to identify issues and develop solutions to training opportunities. Qualifications: The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience: Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Communications or related technical discipline, plus a minimum of 7-8 years related experience leading technical training environments. Previous experience working in a Solar PV environment is required. Must possess excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Advanced computer skills are required including familiarity with windows-based programs such as Microsoft productivity tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint or SharePoint). Strong preference for prior experience with a web-based Learning Management System (LMS) or training module in an ERP system. Demonstrated ability to coordinate and lead projects to successfully achieve a training objective. Additional preference for experience with project management tools. Ability to travel domestically with valid driver's license required. Preference for valid passport and ability to travel internationally.
