We are seeking an experienced senior level Utility Electrical Engineer. The Electrical Engineer will provide electrical design, engineering, testing and construction support to facilitate the successful construction and operation of next generation solar photovoltaic power facilities across the U.S.

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Interface closely with development, engineering and construction teams
• Prepare electrical scope documents, exhibits, budgets, schedules and Requests for Proposals (RFP’s)
• Perform standard electrical engineering calculations and preliminary electrical design
• Oversee and lead the production of quality electrical engineering plans and specifications, while ensuring compliance with project and industry requirements and standards
• Direct and manage the work performed by electrical engineering consultants including technical review and comment to detailed high voltage a/c electrical interconnect design
• Prepare initial inverter routing scheme and substation layout and transmission line routing
• Perform professional site assessment of existing facility electrical services to determine feasibility of interconnection to solar system
• Support Business Development efforts by providing wiring information to contractors for bidding purposes
• Perform other related duties as needed

Requirements:
• MS or BS Degree in Electrical Engineering and 5 to 7 years strong renewable power generation, design and engineering experience
• Solid knowledge with inverter, UPS and/or VFD technology
• Expert skill and knowledge with medium and high voltage substation electrical equipment and transmission design and operations
• Experience and skills relating to electronic processing and filing of drawings, specifications, budgets, reports, project schedules and other documents
• Perform standard electrical discipline mathematical calculations and equations
• Familiar with Supervisory Control and Data Collection (SCADA), grounding, relay and protection systems
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, Power System Modeling Software, databases and other discipline related design programs (MS Project desirable)
• Excellent written, verbal, interaction, organizational, analytical and time management skills
