Ecos Information Technology The Information Technology department is an important part of our growing company infrastructure and as a member of this team, you are critical to our success. Our Information Technology group has an immediate need for an Applications Developer located in our Portland, Ore. corporate headquarters. In this role, you will report to our Director of Information Technology and experience all the benefits of working for a fast-paced, entrepreneurial company while having a significant impact in energy efficiency, climate and sustainability. Role Description The Applications Developer is a key IT position that designs, develops and supports our company’s applications and database systems. In this role, you will be working as part of the Business Applications team providing input to the Director of IT regarding company data standards and practices. In addition, you will play a key role in the creation, maintenance and design of advanced reporting data representation interfaces as well as contract and vendor management. The position requires that you are able to independently manage work assignments, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and performance analysis. Role Competencies As our ideal candidate, you will have an in-depth understanding of all aspects of application development and database technology and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with five years of experience in architecture and development of: SQL Server, ASP.NET, C#, SQL Reporting Services, Win Forms, SOAP, XML, HTTPS, business objects, Dundas and IIS. In addition, a demonstrated knowledge of security best practices, change and release management is strongly desired. Knowledge of project management methodologies, UML, ITIL is preferred. You must have strong relationship building skills and be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to large groups and small teams. In this role, your initiative, adaptability, and project management skills will be key to your success.
