We are currently seeking experienced Project Engineers for our Nashville, TN offices. Successful candidates will be responsible for providing technical engineering support for our Energy and Carbon Management business unit. Specific responsibilities will include: conducting energy audits, analyzing utility bills, performing energy engineering services for utility and end-use clients, reviewing electric energy efficiency and re-commissioning projects, conducting on-site field inspections, installing field monitoring equipment, conducting investment grade audits, and other related tasks. Duties and Responsibilities * Conduct energy audits at Commercial and Industrial facilities to identify energy efficiency measures * Perform and review energy savings calculations * Conduct site visits to verify installation and operation of baseline and replacement energy equipment * Assist project managers in preparing cost proposals for potential utility sponsored energy efficiency programs * Communicate effectively with clients and subcontractors * Write reports to summarize results and to recommend savings amounts and incentive payments Qualifications * Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering, or a related field. * Requires two years of work experience in the energy efficiency industry. Must also possess coursework or experience background with HVAC building systems, energy management control systems, and energy modeling. * An understanding of building systems (particularly HVAC), thermodynamics, and heat transfer * Excellent writing, interpersonal, and analytical skills * P.E. and C.E.M. (or on track to receive) is desirable * Energy audit experience is desirable * Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and control systems is a plus. * Experience in energy modeling is a plus.
