The Business Services Team helps Ecos identify revenue opportunities; manage sales, proposal and launch processes; assess opportunity risks; and lead program design efforts. Our Team has an immediate need for a Process Management Consultant, located at our Portland, Ore., headquarters.

In this newly created role, you will report to the Director of Business Services and support our Business Solutions Team, thereby creating a significant impact in energy efficiency, climate and sustainability while experiencing all the benefits of working for a fast-paced, entrepreneurial company.

Role Description

As our Consultant, you will be responsible for managing the proposal process for our Business Solutions Team, support sales tracking and pipeline development, and operate as a liaison to contract and launch management teams. You will ensure high-quality, successful proposals that contribute to Ecos’ continued growth by managing the proposal process to meet business objectives and corporate quality standards for writing style and formatting.

In this role, you will work with our proposal “champions” to ensure that proposals meet key client needs for cost-effectiveness, completion of responses, and accuracy of information. In addition, you will be responsible for managing workflow and reporting utilizing project management and accounting tools while collaborating with our other internal departments such as our Customer Relationship Teams, Marketing, Finance and Technical Solutions Teams to insure the proposals meet business objectives and corporate quality standards.

As our Consultant, you will also be responsible to lead and facilitate product definition and development for our Business Solutions product offerings. You will work with the business to perform industry analysis, competitive research and provide product recommendations.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparation of all documents – such as PowerPoint presentations, reports or qualifications materials – to assist in the garnering of future business for Ecos. Furthermore, you will oversee contract scope writing and documentation, as well as the contract approval processes.

Role Competencies

As our ideal candidate, you possess a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role. You possess a broad understanding of energy, sustainability and carbon and have worked in or around the industry.

Project management experience, financial acumen and excellent written and verbal communication skills will also be among the list of your competencies. Additionally, experience with contract administration, and/or proposal writing will be highly valued.

As a seasoned professional, you will have documented industry experience and a background working on cross-functional teams to attain business objectives. You bring a strong customer service and quality focus, with a reputation for integrity, openness and forthrightness. You have proven problem-solving skills and the ability to work in diverse organizations; exhibit effective listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
