Company Background: Harvest Power is a venture-backed start-up with offices in Waltham MA and Seattle WA. We are an alternative energy company that manages certain waste materials and turns them into "green" natural gas and electricity. With Kleiner Perkins as our lead investor, we are rapidly expanding our business and developing projects around North America. In addition, the company is actively acquiring related businesses in North America.

We seek 2 summer interns at mid-points in their business school curriculum. We are looking for dynamic, energetic, and entrepreneurial-minded individuals to (1) support a number of acquisitions that are in process; (2) evaluate project finance opportunities; (3) and provide finance support to business development and project development.

This position will be for ten (10) weeks.

Responsibilities include:
- due diligence on acquisition candidates in North America
- supporting on-going business development efforts on current projects
- direct involvement in project development for our projects currently underway

Key Skills Required:
- solid analytical and quantitative skills
- strong interpersonal skills, high degree of determination
- interest and passion for alternative energy
- highly motivated and willingness to work in dynamic start-up environment
- work independently, self-starter and team-oriented
- strong oral and written communication skills; superior presentation skills
- strong skills in Excel and Power Point
- 2-3 years experience in business development or finance preferred
- BA or BS required
- experience in energy or waste management a plus
