BACKGROUND:
Suniva operates a Solar Cell manufacturing factory in the Atlanta Georgia metropolitan area. The factory operates 24x7 producing over 100 MW per year of high-efficiency, monocrystalline, silicon Solar Cells. We will be almost doubling our capacity again this year! Our Facilities Engineer leads and is the pivotal role in keeping our team and plant safe and operational. We need professionals from the Solar Cell manufacturing, semi-conductor or other high-tech manufacturing industries. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Responsible for the preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance necessary to maintain the facility and campus. This includes all electrical, mechanical, structural, and water treatment systems apart from the direct production equipment inside the plant.
2. Operate and maintain all plant facilities including: process and waste water systems, chemical handling systems, exhaust systems and scrubbers, HVAC systems, offices, and grounds.
3. Follow all safety, quality and other manufacturing procedures
4. Participate and contribute to continuous improvement and problem solving activities.
5. Work with previous and following shifts to make smooth shift transitions.
6. Provides support to Manufacturing Operations to achieve quality and output objectives.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

1. Four-year degree in a technical field, Engineering preferred.
2. 5-10 years in Facilities Management.
3. Experience with electrical and mechanical systems including: DI water, waste water treatment, chemical handling systems, exhaust systems and scrubbers, chillers and HVAC systems.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

1. Knowledge and experience working with automated controls systems, and experience working with chemical and gasses.
2. Experience and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.
3. Experience working within a system consistent with ISO-9001 or equivalent.
